Getting caught up with the one and only “Bikini Fox“, Chelsea Bell, owner of online hot spot “TheBikiniFox.com“. From Maya to Acacia to Mara, Bell has curated a fabulous shopping source for some of the hottest bikinis and beach accessories available.
BB: When did you launch the Bikini Fox? What led to this? Why swimwear?
CB:I launched the store December 2011. It’s kinda weird but I had a dream about the store and that was pretty much it. It all just came together after that! I am one of those lucky ladies who is bikini obsessed so swimwear was my obvious choice! Those itty bitty pieces bring me joy so it makes it easy to work everyday with them all around!
BB: From where does all the magic happen?
CB: Haha, the magic happens in one of the spare bedroom in our house. It has been officially converted into The Bikini Fox headquarters! I love that room …
BB: What are some of your go-to swim brands and accessories?
CB: I love them all so much! But if I had to pick I would say definitely Acacia and Maya, I love a good ‘booytkini’ and they both have some of the best ones out there! I love the Mara Hoffman beach bags too. They are so bright and colorful and HUGE to boot, you could fit your whole house in those things!
BB: You have pulled together a really edited and coveted list of brands, what’s the common thread?
CB: The common thread to start was the booty. I wanted to bring together all my favorite brands with the most flattering bum cuts. I feel like the top of a bathing suit is a pretty easy thing. Where is really counts is the bum so I wanted to have a place where you could shop all of the best booty brands together.
BB: What are some up and coming brands that are on your radar?
CB: Posh Pua and Ani Bikinis, I love both of those brands and they have insanely hot suits! I think they are both going big places.
BB: Who are some designers and brands that inspire you?
CB: For swim I love Mara Hoffman, each season her prints amaze me. Her colors are always so bright and the prints ultra creative. No one does prints like her. For lifestyle I love Stone_Cold_Fox, each collection is unique and has such attention to detail. All those lace accents and vintage inspired designs are definitely a treat to my wallet! If I had a closet full of Stone_Cold_Fox I would be forever content…
BB: What’s next for the Bikini Fox?
CB: The top! haha…well brand expansion first. There are still designers out there I would love to carry like Mikoh &Tyler Rose. I want to build an unbeatable bikini arsenal!
