Quality Peoples started in 2010 as an art collaboration between Ed Fladung and John Esguerra. They both quit their jobs and moved to a foreign culture independently. Ed moved to Mexico, and John to Hawaii. Connected by the Internet, they found camaraderie as surfers, artists, and designers. It was out of these common seeds that Quality Peoples grew as a brand inspired by their experiences in their respective cultures. Quality Peoples takes cues from Mexican folklore and street culture, Hawaiian surf history, timeless men’s style, contemporary art, and the nomadic nature of a life lived in search of waves.
