1) Camilla Waterfall Lace Caftan $565 :shop here
While on a vacation in Mo’orea Tahiti, I was inspired by a neon pink hat I found in a market and declared with the utmost confidence that from now on, I was going to dress like a rainbow. The humbling vacation pictures attest to my commitment. When I saw this kaftan by my new favorite company Camilla, I once again was reminded there are no bad ideas–success is simply in the execution.

Tom Binns Last Laugh Shark Gold Cuff : shop here
After my Aunt took me to the theater to see Jaws when I was nine-years-old I developed Selachophobia. Stranded on the beach, watching all the kids play, my Uncle Tommy asked why I wouldn’t go in the water. I told him in a small whisper, ” the sharks.” He smiled and told me a long story about my amakua (guardian) who was the shark god of the Alenuehaha Channel and how no shark would ever harm me. In honor of them (or a reminder for them) I always wear this bracelet, even at the beach.
3)
Pendelton Big Thunder Spa Towel $48: shop here
Everyone is always stealing my beach towels. I’ve been searching for the perfect towel that would dissuade all poachers but be something that I adore. The two things didn’t seem like they could co-exist, like Clark Kent and Superman being in the same place at the same time. Then I found these towels. So chic, yet so identifiable, it’s open challenge to all sticky fingers.
4)
Solar Tizo3 Protection SPF 40 $26 :shop here
I have tried every sunscreen on the market. Not just because of my experience in the beauty industry, but a history of skin cancer in the family and hypersensitive skin has turned my into a volunteer medical test-subject. This is the only sunscreen that I can wear everyday that doesn’t irritate my skin, and actually makes me look, well, prettier (thanks to a slight mineral tint).
5)
Mikoh Laguna One Piece in Jet Set $194 :shop here
An ex-boyfriend once told me as I was laying by the pool in my new black Eres one-piece, that no one-piece swimsuits were sexy.Um, since then, every time I try to commit to a one-piece his words always come back to haunt me. Then I tried this one-piece by Mikoh and realized instantly, not only was my ex-boyfriend a bad kisser, he didn’t know crap about swimwear.
