Leitly is founded on the beaches of Oahu and sources recycled plastics that are crafted into luxury, eco-friendly fabrics. The brand offers a curated collection of both minimalistic swimwear and chic surf suits. 

The founder of, Alex sat down with us to answer a few questions as we prepare for  our Leitly pop-up at our Kailua Flagship this Saturday June 27th.

What are three words you use to describe the brand?

Elevated, Functional, Conscious.

What was your favorite part of designing? 

Finding the balance between high-performance technical suits and effortless lounge pieces. I love that a collection can transition from a heavy surf session to a relaxed afternoon on the sand.

What is your inspiration?

 My own search for surf suits that are both chic and minimalist, yet high-performing enough to stay on in the waves. I wanted to create sophisticated silhouettes for the surf and the moments in between—all crafted from recycled materials to protect the places we love most, especially our home here on O’ahu.

What is a trend your loving?

 The "Beach-to-Street" look—pairing a surf top with low-waisted jeans or a lounge set for a post-beach cocktail.

What is your beach bag must-have?

 My Sol Sista Butta Block, Sand Cloud beach towel, and Sky & Sol Leave-In Conditioner.
